Our Story
Two readers. One little shop.
Luna and Loom started the way most good things start — with two people who loved books more than was probably reasonable, and who couldn't stop talking about what makes a story stay with you.
Michelle and Julie had spent years collecting bookmarks the way some people collect coffee mugs — never quite the right one, never quite enough of them. So they started making their own. What began as a small batch of designs for themselves turned into something neither of them expected: a shop built entirely around the idea that a bookmark shouldn't be an afterthought. It should be a small, beautiful pause in your day — something that says this story matters, and so does the place you left off.
What we make, and why
Every Luna and Loom design starts the same way: with a detail someone would actually recognize. The exact shade of brick on a college quad. The specific magnolia that blooms outside a sorority house every spring. The line from a book that readers quote to each other without even meaning to.
We're not interested in generic. We'd rather spend an extra hour getting one tree species right than ship something that could belong to anyone.
That's true whether we're designing a college town landmark, a Jane Austen heroine, a witchy little tarot-inspired set, or the quiet badge of honor that is a dad who reads on the porch every Sunday with his coffee going cold beside him.

We're two indie booksellers at heart, even though our shop lives online. We believe in supporting small presses, small businesses, and the specific joy of finding exactly the right gift for a reader you love.
Every order is packed by hand and in a kraft envelope— because we like the idea of a small piece of mail arriving for you in between everything else.
